Stop specific files from uploading with Drive File Sync without stopping from everything uploading 0 Recommended Answers 6 Replies 79 Upvotes
I'm using the Google File Stream to sync files to my Google Drive, NOT Google Backup & Sync. I started uploading a couple large 2Gb files that will not finish uploading so they are taking up space on my HDD. I went into the Google Drive storage location on my computer and deleted the folder containing those files but now when I go to the upload status of Drive Files Stream it shows "moving folder X to Trash" below the uploads...... So it's trying to finish uploading the files before it will delete them.
I've also tried deleting the file in my Google Drive using the browser, and I tried looking in the Drive File Stream cache location but all of those files are named weird so I have no idea which files are the ones I want to delete.
If I delete the entire Drive Files Stream cache will it remove all of the other files that I do want to upload? or will it only remove the files I've deleted from my Drive already? Is there a way to identify where those specific files are in the cache so I can remove just those? Any other recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
