How to block spam from Google Drive?

I keep getting "hey baby" porn spam files shared with me on Google drive. I report them and they keep coming. I see people have been complaining about this for years and you all have done nothing. This is extremely frustrating and embarrassing!!! What can I do to stop this?

I've reported a huge list of senders to Google directly and for awhile 8 wasn't getting anything. A few days later they're back but not as much as I use to get them. Google really needs to give a feature to block from from anyone unless they're in your contacts or you send it to someone else

I was searching for a fix and found this thread... Well, to me is quite surprising how devs and sw architects didn't think about this BIG spam opportunity they were opening with Google Drive's document share.

I mean, you let ANYONE with your email address able to spam you to death?
That's like email spam but 2.0, because you get notification from Drive and if you are not careful maybe you end up opening things containing inappropriate or harmful content.

Here's my 2 cents to fix it:
It would be fixable by letting account owners decide their sharing policy:

- Open: As is

- Closed: Someone can effectively share a document with you only by sending you a link, if you click it and accept the share, then you have it in your Drive. In this way if you refuse a document you'll get:
NO notifications.
NO unwanted document in Drive.
NO potential misclicks.

The best solution is simply to download all your files to your PC and then disable Google Drive on all your devices. You can use Dropbox or Sync which are much more secure and intuitive.

Yes this must be resolved. Otherwise anyone who has your Gmail id can share you anything. It happened with me as well. When we try to access some data on drive we have more files even we didn't save.

How about simply an email saying: "this email wants to share something with you" and you can accept or deny
That would already be an improvement

My instructors also are having the same issues on and rancid on account that Thursday, 12/three, after the whole thing operating splendidly considering the fact that the beginning of the school year, our videos are actually caught in processing with Google to search for reviews. We just cannot assume our instructors nor our dad and mom to must download the severa movies so that it will view them. Please suggest. Mrs. B
