can't find very many google docs templates and they are not searchabel

I like google docs, but am frustrated that there seem to be very few templates and they are not searchable. any solutions? I come from using Word which has multiple templates. Please advise!

Google Docs has about 50 templates. I don't know if these are the ones you're looking at. They're listed by category but not searchable (that I know of).

To get to the templates, open a new Google Doc. Under the File menu select New then From template. The list of templates will open in a new tab. You can also make your own template.

Doing an internet search on "templates for google docs" brings up many sites offering templates.

There used to be easy sharing and access to templates for all types of G-Suite documents. This seems to have disappeared in favour of a curated set. I think both approaches have their merit and can be provided.
