Why do I get an error "unable to open file" when I use an Ethernet connection?

Due to connectivity issues from increased use of the internet, I have had to switch to a Ethernet connection. I am hard-lined into the same router that I get the wireless signal from, and, in most areas, my internet has been substantially more reliable.

That said, whenever I attempt to open a google doc, slide, or any other type of google document with this new connection, the document will fully load, but then I will get a notification that google is "Unable to load file," which forces met to refresh the document only to have to repeat the process.

Additionally, when I go to send a error report, I fill out that document and hit "send," only to be told the report cannot be sent.

I initially thought this was an issue with my extensions (I saw this on another forum), so I removed and reinstalled them and everything worked well for a day or so, but the issue came back and uninstalling all of my extensions has had no effect on the problem.

The only solution to this problem is switching back to a wireless connection, but I am hoping that there is a way to fix it so I do not have to rely on my unreliable wireless connection to view google documents (I am a teacher and google docs is how the majority of the assignments are being submitted).

Has anyone else experienced such issues and is there a solution that I can implement on my own?

Thanks,

Sam
