Hi there,
Google Docs and Drive don't support password protection at this time. If you have concerns about data safety on your phone, I'd suggest looking into two-step verification. You can learn more about that in this Help Center article: Turn-on two-step verification. Scroll down for instructions for Android.

Hi,
I found this article while doing a search about this. It contains steps for how to do password protection on an iPhone: How to Password Protect Files in Google Drive. Please be aware that Google hasn't sanctioned this method, so you'll be using it at your own discretion.
I hope that helps!

As I noted above, that feature isn't available for Google Drive (on the web or for mobile devices, including Android). There is a workaround for iOS, but it's not offered by Google, which is why I posted the article and noted that it isn't sanctioned by Google. If you try to open a password protected file on Android or Drive, you will not be able to access it.

I was unable to find any info on password locking the Docs app on an iPhone (and I don't have an iPhone to test this out on). If you can't find the same straightforward way to password protect the Docs app as you have done with Drive, this article may be helpful: How to Passcode Lock an App on iPhone.

I might be some assistance. Depending on what kind of android phone you have and what version of android you are running. I know samsung version has a "Secure folder" which you can put the google drive app in, and you can use a pin/password/fingerprint to access. Or you can use a 3rd party locking app such as nortonapplock which I believe does the same thing.
You may need to put every individual app inside the locking app, (Like Doc, Sheets etc)
