I have done a Whatsapp backup with a phone number that I don't use anymore.
Now, I can't restore the chats in the Whatsapp with the new phone number.
The backup was stored in Google Drive.
I would appreciate any help.

According to the answer in Help Center Manage and restore your device backups in Google Drive:
Backups.Check the troubleshooting steps here: Learn how to back up and restore your WhatsApp messages with Google Drive.
- Your backups will not use your Google Drive storage for your personal Google Account.
- If you backup WhatsApp messages for your work or school account, backups might count against your Drive storage.
- You can use your backup to restore your messages and attachments to WhatsApp.
- You can stop and delete backups, but you won't be able to look at the files inside the backup.

I have filed sexual harrassment case. I want to retrieve the WhatsApp messages which are deleted. My backup was weekly and the messages were deleted way before the backup was taken.
Can you help ?

i was using iphone with hotmail apple id. my whatsapp was backed up on hotmail id. now i've shifted to android but i cant backup my chat from hotmail id as it says enter only google id. what to do now?
