BUG: pdf files not displayed properly in Google Drive when editing. Images horribly posterized.
A contact of mine shared a pdf file on Google Drive with me.
I received the email notification with the link to edit the pdf file.
I followed the link; the pdf contained a few photos. The photos are not displayed properly. The colors look horribly posterized.
If I download the file with the "Download the current version" link and open the saved file locally with the pdf viewer, it looks just fine.
For a similar example that involves an image in a Word file please see and for an example that shows the treatment of Tiff files please see .

Oh my god, why do they put that in a different place for every damn google product? I've been looking for that like an idiot.
Oh, and I can see why: that is not available when editing the pdf (so I cannot send the screenshot through that, btw).
Some community members might have badges that indicate their identity or level of participation in a community.
Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:
- Post an answer.
- Having your answer selected as the best answer.
- Having your post rated as helpful.
- Vote up a post.
- Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.
Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
