Where is "MY Drive"?

I installed google drive on one computer and a folder appeared on my desktop with all of my google docs. Nice. It looks like an ordinary folder. Then I installed it on another computer and expected the same. All the google drive icon brings up is a directory which includes google drive but the only thing on the drive is hello fax. It also looks completely different. Searching help I see a lot of references to "my drive" I don't see that anywhere. How can I drag files from google docs to "my drive" Even if I could find "my drive" I don't know how I could drag from google docs. Shouldn't these filles have been brought in when I installed google docs? They are already in the cloud. I opened some of the files in google docs and needed to download thm to see them but they still do not appear in google drive. I suspect that finding "my drive" might help here too.

Hi

Go to www.google.com sign in to your Google account or Gmail account

You should then see "Drive" in the top bar

Best regards

Go to gmail-you have to sign. Drive used to be docs. Either link will get u to gdrive. If u have an android phone there is gdrive app at the playstore.

1.  Are you also the OP, teatele?  (Sometimes people post here under different names.)

2.  Do you have Windows, since you refer to your "PC"?

3.  "My Drive" is your online equivalent of Windows' My Documents or Documents.

BTW, Matthias is right about Chrome to the extent that one or two actions work in Chrome and not in others, such as offline access, but I think this is of secondary importance at this stage. (My preferred browser is Firefox.)

You can now find your "Drive" and other Apps on gmail by clicking on the icon in the upper right of your gmail up by the bell icon. Click the square of 9 squares icon to find your drive and your files again...took me 10 minutes to figure this out and I thought I lost all my files:(
