GIF not playing in Drive

Hi,I have a drive with a bunch of GIFs. Until last week, they were all animated (whether open, or just as a preview). However now, there seems to be no way to see them animated... I have no idea why, any help welcomed!Link to the drive:https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By7oWIpYImKnaGFaZVhQV1R2UVUThank you!

Hi,

I tried opening the GIFs and I noticed they are not working for me as well. I wonder if this is because of the new update that Google recently rolled around. In the meantime, I would suggest trying a third party like "Video to GIF Animation Converter"?

I'm also having the same issue. I went to view my GIFs and none of them are animated - it just has this play button that doesn't work. We store them in the google drive to share so this is really frustrating.

I am having the same exact problem.  All the gifs won't work - which is a shame as gif creation occurs frequently in our art classes and now the removal of this feature has added an extra layer of work for students and teachers.

I'm having the same issue. I have upwards of 400 gifs saved that I share as a library with friends & family and not one of them will animate in the Drive preview. If I download the file from Drive and store locally, it does animate.

Hello everyone,

I will walk you through the steps of how to see the animated gif move.
  • Double Click on the Animated Gif
  • Click the More Actions icon (3 Vertical Dots)
  • From the dropdown list select open in new window
  • Action is viewed in this second iFrame window

If you have anymore questions please let me know.

Best,
Ms. Drasby

Well it worked, but didn't fix the problem. I have a folder full of animated gifs. Imagine trying to find the right one if I have to open them one by one in separate window. It can be quite frustrating.

I have the same problem too, like the rest of you guys, although the new window "Trick" does let me see 'em, which the only thing I need. Thanks!
