Sign out of Google Drive

When you sign in to Google Drive on your computer or mobile device, you'll stay signed in. Here's how to sign out of Google Drive.

The only way to sign out of the Drive app is to remove your entire account from your phone or tablet.

However, you can do many of the same tasks through other actions.

Sign out options

Remove your Google Account from your device

When you remove an account, it removes the account from all apps on the device. When your account is removed, you won’t be signed in to any Google products, like Drive or YouTube.

This option is good if you want to remove personal information from your device before you give it to someone else.

Tip: When you remove the account from your phone or tablet, it won't delete the account itself. You can still use the account on a computer or other devices.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Drive app Drive.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Manage accounts on this device and then Remove from this device.

Sign in with another account

If you've added multiple accounts to the Drive app, you can switch between them. Files on the Drive app stay separate for each account.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Drive app Drive.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap the account you want to use.

Disable accounts temporarily

If you've added multiple accounts to the Drive app, you can temporarily disable one or more of them.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Drive app Drive.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Manage accounts on this device
  4. Next to the account you want to temporarily disable, tap Off  or On .
