Get started with the Drive app for iPhone/iPad

With the Drive app, you can view, share, and organize files online or offline. The files on your app are available on the web, so you can access them from anywhere.

Download the Google Drive app

  1. Touch the App Store icon.
  2. Find and install the Google Drive app.
  3. On your home screen, tap the Drive app icon.
To download the Drive app, you need iOS version 7.0 or higher. Learn more about the minimum Apple device requirements.

Open and upload files

To open a file, open the Drive app and touch the name of a file.

Organize, share, or print files

To organize, share, or print a file:

  1. Open the Drive app.
  2. Next to the file name, touch the info icon Activity Information.
  3. Choose from a list of options:
    Add people Share a file with someone and give them “view,” “comment,” or “edit” access.
    Get link Copy a link to the clipboard to paste elsewhere (for example, into an email).
    Star Mark a file as important.
    Move Move a file to a new or existing folder.
    Open in Open a file with a different Google or non-Google app.
    Print Print a file using Google Cloud Print or AirPrint
    Rename Rename a file.
    Remove Remove a file.
