Google has closed an agreement for Squarespace, Inc. to acquire all domain name registrations from Google Domains. Squarespace is the registrar of record for your domain and the Squarespace’s Terms of Service apply; however Google will manage your domain during a transition period. Following a transition period your domain will be transitioned to Squarespace, and upon transfer, your data will be governed by Squarespace’s Privacy PolicyLearn more about the agreement.

Manage multiple domains with bulk tools

Use bulk tools to view and edit multiple domains at once. 

With bulk tools, you can:

  • Filter by domain attributes and domain name.
  • Manage how columns are sorted.
  • Add and remove columns.
  • Turn auto-renew on or off for multiple domains.
  • Add years to multiple domains.
  • Edit contact information for multiple domains.

Open bulk tools

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. In the upper right, click Show bulk tools

Filter your domains list

To filter your search results:

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. At the top, click in the filter search bar to bring up a menu of attributes to choose from.
  4. Choose attributes you’d like to search for. Then, click Apply.
  5. Your results will show in the table below.
  6. To clear all filters, to the right of the filter search bar, click Remove Remove.
Sort your columns

You can sort columns by name, status, and expires / renew date.

To change the order of how the tables are sorted:

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. On the column you want to sort, click the header.
  4. To reverse the order, click the header again.
Add or remove columns
  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. In the upper right, click Columns.
  4. From the menu, choose which columns you’d like to show or hide.
  5. Click Apply.

Domain renewal

Add auto-renew 

Turn on auto-renew to renew your yearly registration automatically each year a few days before it expires. 
  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. Check the box to the left of the domain names you’d like to include.
  4. In the upper right, click Renew domain.
  5. From the menu, click Turn on auto-renew.

Google Domains will prompt you to confirm your purchase. Your account won’t be charged until the domain auto-renews. The auto-renewal is a few days before your expiration date.

The registration period varies by domain ending and some domains only allow auto-renew. Check the reference of domain ending details to confirm your registrations. Learn more about renewing a domain.

Add years to your registration
To avoid potential future price increases, buy multiple years of registration in advance.
  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. Check the box to the left of the domain names you’d like to include.
  4. In the upper right, click Renew domain.
  5. From the menu, click Add years.
  6. Choose the number of years you want to renew the domains.

Google Domains will prompt you to confirm your purchase. Google Domains charges your account when you finalize the purchase.

Edit contact information

Update the same contact for multiple domains

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. In the upper right, click Columns.
  4. Select Contact info.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Check the box to the left of the domain names you want to change. These domains must all have the same contact information.
  7. In the upper right, click Edit contact info.
  8. Under Registrant, update the appropriate information. To update the contact email, click the edit icon .
  9. If the Admin/Tech contacts and Registrant contact are the same, make sure to check  the appropriate boxes. If the Admin and/or Tech contact is different, uncheck the Same as Registrant box(es) and update the information as needed. 
  10. Click Apply and Confirm change.

Select an existing contact for multiple domains 

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. In the upper right, click Columns.
  4. Select Contact info.  
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Check the box to the left of the domain names you want to change.
  7. At the upper right, click Edit contact info.
  8. Select the correct contact name for Registrant, Admin, and Tech. 
  9. Click Apply and Confirm change.

Add a new contact for multiple domains 

  1. Sign in to Google Domains.
  2. On the left, click My domains.
  3. In the upper right, click Columns.
  4. Select Contact info.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Check the box to the left of the domain names you’d like to include.
  7. At the bottom of the form, click Add new.
  8. Add the new contact information.
  9. Select the contact type
  10. Click Apply and Confirm change.
 

Important: Before the contact information can be updated, the previous and new registrant may need to confirm the change through email. For changes that require confirmation, the updated contact information appears as “pending.” If there’s no confirmation within 7 days, the change is canceled.

Once the contact information is confirmed, it may take a few hours for the updates to appear in WHOIS.
