You can't copy/paste footnotes in Docs, Saad. Docs uses superscript text citation numbers. You need to put your cursor in the text where you want the citation number to go, and then go to Insert > Footnote. A citation number will appear where your cursor is and also in the footer of the document. You can type in your content after the footnote number in the footer. If you want to copy/paste content for the footnote (in the footer), you can paste it using Ctrl + Shift + V so it will paste without carrying over code or formatting from the source document.

Hi, Saad,

Open the .docx file in Google Docs.
Go to File > Save as Google Docs. A new file in Docs format should open in a new tab.
To translate the document into a different language, go to Tools > Translate document and select the language you need.

It's not possible at this time to translate just portions of a document, but you can copy/paste the translated sections that you need into a new Docs document or into the .docx file.

Alternatively, you can just use Google Translate: https://translate.google.com/.

Hello! When I need to translate something, I often copy the letters, open Google Translate, and paste it into the translate bar. I do not think my reply will help you much, but I hope it does.

You're very welcome, Saad. Have a great rest of the week!
