How do you loop a video in google slides?

I uploaded and inserted a short homemade video clip into a google slide.  The slide is a skill demonstration used for a PE class.  I would like to have the video on a loop so my students can see the skill played over and over while I am presenting.  I have selected the loop option when in presentation mode but it appears I have to select loop each and every time I present that particular slide.

Is there a way to keep the loop function locked for videos in presentation mode?

Hi, Patricia Boyle,

I don't believe this feature is available within Slides at this time. That said, does the video have necessary audio? If not, have you thought about converting the video to a GIF and putting that in the presentation instead?

I suggest you provide feedback about this to the Google team, by doing the following:
  1. Open any document
  2. Click Help > Report an issue
  3. Enter your feature suggestion
  4. Hit Send
The product team is unable to respond to individual users' feedback; however, they do review all feedback regularly, and use it to help make improvements.

Hope this helps?

My video does not require or does it need audio. I just need the video to loop so students can watch the skill on repeat for 30 seconds.

Any suggestions on best way to make the video into a GIF?  This is all new to me and am truly learning a lot as I go.
Hey, Patricia,

There are plenty of free converters you can find on Google by searching "Video to GIF converter," but there's no particular one I'd recommend above the others; I've never used one.

Hope that works for you!
