Deleting extra page in resume template

Hello! I am trying to delete an extra page on my resume. It is from a google doc template.

I searched in the help center for this issue and all the posts I found say it's probably due to an "invisible" table. I have right clicked within the text and nothing happens. There is no option to mess with the table properties by right clicking. I have also gone to format>table>table properties> table border> changed it to 1 pt. which shows the table is only on one page. I've messed with the column width and height as well but that's not helping.

At this point, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what else I can try to do to fix this.

Thanks it Advance!

Hi, Andrea,

I'm glad you were able to view my earlier responses regarding the "invisible" table in the templates. The problem is usually that
  • there is too much text on the page
  • the line spacing is contributing to too much content
  • the minimum row height is too large, or
  • the page margins are too big
If you don't see part of the table on the next page, please know that tables in Docs require a line space before and after them to work properly, so if there isn't enough room for the bottom line space, the line space that follows it will be pushed to the next page. Please try adjusting all these things to see if that resolves it.

If you're still unable to fix the problem, would you be willing to share a copy of your resume with me with editing permission so I can try to resolve the problem for you? If so, here's how:
  1. Open the document you need help with.
  2. Choose File > Make a copy.
  3. In the new copy of the document remove any sensitive information, or replace it with similar placeholder data.
  4. Choose File > Share (or click on the blue Share button).
  5. Under "Get link > Restricted," change to "Anyone on the internet with this link can edit."
  6. Copy the link.
  7. Click the blue Done button.
  8. Post the link in a reply in this thread.
Please let me know if you're able to resolve the problem using my instructions above or whether you'd like me to try to fix it for you.

Hi Jo!

I'm not completely sure what I did, but after playing with some of the fonts and sizes, I was able to go to the second page and just backspace to delete.

Thank you so much for your help and I will definitely be saving this information for future reference!
You're very welcome, Andrea. If you need further assistance with this down the road, please don't hesitate to post here again and let me know.

Best,
Jo
