audio keeps cutting off

I have finished a google slides presentation and I am attempting to view the finished presentation.  All of my audio for each slide is formatted to start automatically so that it lines up with the appropriate slide.  For some reason every time I get to slide 11 the audio cuts off at the exact same place.  The audio file works fine, if I close the presentation and restart on that slide it will play all the way through just fine, however it needs to be able to play the presentation in it's entirety for my professor to view it effectively

Hello everyone,

To try and help determine what is happening with the audio files once a video file has been used, would you please provide the following information?
  1. which browser is being used and its version
  2. if an app is being used, which device is being used and the apps version
  3. what are the sharing settings for the file
  4. what format is the file in (mp3, mov, webm, etc)
  5. which type of account is being used to share the file (personal, edu, organization, etc)
  6. which type of account is being used to
  7. what error message is received when the file is not accessible
  8. anything else that may help us solve the problem
    1. Cleared cache
    2. restarted browser
    3. tried using an incognito/private window
Hopefully this will help us to figure out a solution!

Hello,

I am using Google Slides and I have the same problem when the document is being presented: in certain slides ( 10 and +)  the audio cut off suddenly. My info:

1. Browser: Chrome Rel. 81.0.4044.138
2. -- Laptop with Windows 10
3. The file is being published not shared.
4. mp3
5. Google for Education account for teacher
6. User account for students
7. No error
8.
- The problem occurs when I am presenting the slides and also when the student is watching the embedded presentation in his web LMS.
- The problem doesn't happen if you pass first the slides and return again.
- I have tested using the "on-click for start audio" playing option and in this case it plays fine without the interruption.

Thanks in advance for your help

My audio is turning itself down automatically. I turn it back up via the format option tab and it still automatically turns itself down. HOW DO I FIX??

I am having EXACTLY the same issues Samuel. SO FRUSTRATING! It worked initially but now the audio cuts out after a few seconds.

Yep, same problem here.  I have spent four hours trying to figure out a work around.  What I am doing in the meantime is pressing pause on the slide directly before the slide with the audio track, waiting a couple seconds, then pressing play, and then it plays through just fine.  I am using mine for a graduation presentation, so I just inserted a slide with a quote on the pages where I need to stop and press pause.

I am having the same problem. After slide 10 the audio cuts off at 1 to 2 seconds and continues through the rest of the slides. Anyone knows how to fix it??

Same problem with Google Slides inserted audio.  Escape and re-Present solves the problem, but that is a poor solution.  It acts as if a buffer is filling up whenever an audio file is played so that after x amount of file playing time it just stops.

Macbook Pro
Chrome
MP3 files, unrestricted sharing
organization account
no error messages

This is not the same as Joyce's problem.

So FRUSTRATING!!!! COME ON GOOGLE with everything you can do this should be an easy fix! Also, we do we have to publish to web??? There should be a timed option for just presenting Slides, without needing to publish.
  1. which browser is being used and its version- CHROME
  2. if an app is being used, which device is being used and the apps version-NO APP-LAPTOP
  3. what are the sharing settings for the file- ANYONE WITH LINK (ON AUDIO AND PRESENTATION)
  4. what format is the file in (mp3, mov, webm, etc) MP3
  5. which type of account is being used to share the file (personal, edu, organization, etc) EDU
  6. which type of account is being used to EDU
  7. what error message is received when the file is not accessible -NO ERROR MESSGAGE-Audio inconsistently plays...if I go back a slide and hit play it usually kicks back on...shouldn't have to do this though!
  8. anything else that may help us solve the problem
    1. Cleared cache-yes
    2. restarted browser-yes
    3. tried using an incognito/private window-yes... Audio files won’t play in incognito....still doing the same thing 🙈

Same issue as others. I have a graduation party on Sunday and have spent hours putting together a presentation to play on a loop with pictures and audio files (music). The audio shuts off on slide 22 every time. Once I hit play it works, but I can't stand by the computer all day. C'mon Google! fix this issue!!!!!

I have been getting this problem running Slides with audio on a Windows PC, in the Chrome browser.
On the other hand, I have just discovered that the show works fine on my Android phone.  No audio stoppage! And I can cast the show to my smartTV and watch and listen to it there.
