Convert from H:mm to Hours decimal
Hello,
I am trying to create a Google Doc that will allow me to keep track of my hours at work. I have all of the basic formatting done.
How do I change hours and minutes (hr:mm format) to show as decimal hours (example: 40.5 hours)
So I basically need 40:30 to convert to 40.5

All time in google sheets is actually in DAYS regardless of how it seems to be displayed. So if you want to go from days to hours you just multiply by 24.
with your HH:mm time in say, cell A2, try this formula:
=A2*24
Then Format>Number>Number.
