Keyboard skipping letters when writing formulas

Has anyone had any trouble recently when writing formulas? It has been happening for the last couple of weeks and when I am writing formulas, the keyboard often doesn't register that I have typed a character and will start to override other parts. For example:  I am writing a story that pops up on the condition of another cell and as I type, after the comma below (in my example), it will skip what I have written and jump past the first quotation mark ( " ). It is very frustrating as I am constantly having to look at the formula to make sure it hasn't done it. Often I only notice as the writing turns black rather than green as it should inside an IF formula. This is only happening in Sheets, no problems typing in docs or other forums (such as here). It also does it sporadically.

Luckily, they had spent so much time, " "

Hi Lisa,

This is a bug that we have been told is fixed.  However, the fix needs to rollout to everyone.  For me, the problem seems to be triggered by the speed in which I type inside the formula window.  The faster I go, the more it skips.  It is very annoying and I'm hoping that I receive the fix soon.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I also noticed that this has been occuring for me for the last few days when editing formulae, but not when editing regular text on cells. I tried disabling all extensions to see if that could help, to no avail. The spreadsheet I'm working on has over a thousand unique entries, and the formulae in question have unique links that are more tedious to copy-and-paste rather than manually type, so I'd appreciate a fix to this...

I am having the same issue, and it is seriously annoying as apparently I type at the exact speed to cause this to happen about 50% of the time...  Specifically, if I am trying to replace the formula =SUM(N7/N8) and I highlight N7 and begin to type "indirect", it will almost always come out like this: =SUM(ind/rectN8).

Seems like it's replacing the "i" keystroke with a "right arrow" keystroke or something like that?  Very odd.  Very annoying.  Hope I can get a fix rolled out to me ASAP.
