How can I set ruler units on Google Docs? How do I set the left page edge to "0" on the ruler?

Can I change the ruler metrics between inches and centimeters? And when the ruler appears on the top of document, the left ruler edge starts "before 0" . This is confusing. For an 8.5" document the ruler should measure 0 (left edge) to 8.5 (right edge).

Hi,

The help communities are peer-to-peer forums and the helpers are volunteers, not Google employees. We have no control over product improvements or general issues/complaints.

Ruler measurements are determined by the language and/or location of the user. You could try switching one or the other if having a certain type of measurement is important to you.

Please share your concerns about this directly with the Docs team by opening a Docs document and going to Help > Help Docs improve. The team is unable to respond to individual users, but they do review all feedback sent to them and use it to improve the product over time.
