My double spacing is too big. The document says it’s double spaced but the spaces look too big.

Hello, so my document is saying my work is double spaced but the space between each of my citations is too large to be double spaced.

Thank you for letting me know that. Sadly, that's the case with many school districts. However, sometimes students can download a file and send it to their personal account as an email attachment. They can then upload it to their personal Drive, open it in Docs, convert it back to a Docs file, and then share that file with me from their personal account. It sounds like a lot of work, but in practice it's really not. I'm telling you this in case you need our assistance in the future.

I apologize. Please use this form instead and provide the URL rather than uploading the file.

Thank you!

Please make sure the access is set to Anyone with the link can EDIT, because right now, I can't access the document. Once you have changed the access, please let me know.

Hi there,

It looks like you have space added after your paragraphs. Drag your cursor through the problem lines and go to Format > Paragraph & line spacing and UN-check Add space after paragraph.

Does that resolve it for you?

Hello, thanks for the response I don’t know if it worked because this is my document now after I did that and I did double spacing.
My guess is that you have the extra space set as your "Normal" style. However, it would be difficult to say what is causing this or how to fix it without seeing the document directly. Please share a copy of the document (omit any personal information). To do that, share it by clicking on the blue Share button, changing "Restricted" to "anyone with the link can EDIT." You can then use this form to share the link (URL) with me privately.

Please be sure to include the URL for this thread in the appropriate spot in the form.

Alright, I’m all set, I fixed it by just resetting my Chromebook. Thank you for all the help!!
That's terrific! I'm sorry for all the back and forth with the form and file. I'm happy to know you have it resolved now. Thank you for letting me know!

I don’t think you would have been able to access my document anyways since my school district prevents anyone without blah blah.net in their account to access anything related to school. So thank you!!
