Hi, Liz,
Thanks for trying to help out, Adam.
Liz, to have text and an image together, you need to click on the image and in the menu that will appear below it, select Wrap text.
If you want to have the image on one side of the page and text on another, but have them side by side, there currently isn't a straightforward way to do that. However, you can accomplish this by following these steps:
1. Create a new table with two columns.
2. Insert your text in one of the columns.
2. Insert your text in one of the columns.
3. Insert your image in the other column
4. Finally, to hide the table borders, right-click in the table and select Table properties from the menu that appears. Go to Table borders and change the border color to white and/or the width to zero.
4. Finally, to hide the table borders, right-click in the table and select Table properties from the menu that appears. Go to Table borders and change the border color to white and/or the width to zero.
Does that resolve it for you?

Can you give us more details of what you are trying to achieve? This is just a guess without more information but you can probably accomplish your goal in Google Drawing. You would then place the drawing in the document.

Emmett, try changing the padding of the row/column to zero. To do that, right-click in the row/cell/column and go to Table properties > Cell padding.

Hi, Abdul-Jabbar Suleiman,
Thanks for jumping in and trying to help out. Your video is for Google Slides, and this thread is regarding Google Docs, which has different features from Slides. Unfortunately, that solution won't work for Docs.
