How can I rotate the text in a table within Google Docs?

Text rotation isn't a feature in Google Docs, as text is not an image file. The only way to obtain text rotation is to use a text box via Insert > Drawing > New and selecting the text box tool icon. Once you have entered your text, you can rotate the text box as desired.
