Dictionary only in English?

HI. Is Google Docs dictionary only in English?

I am Italian and when I am looking for an Italian word the dictionary finds nothing, but finds only English words.

Hi,

I don't believe that is the case. Please go to your Google account at myaccount.google.com. Then go to Personal info and scroll down to Input tools > Suggest. Do you have the option to choose Italian for Suggest?

Also make sure that under Personal info > Language that Italian is the preferred (or only) language listed.

And when you are in Google Docs, go to File > Language and be certain that Italian is selected.

I have all the active options as you described. But it doesn't work in Italian.

Maybe I'm unlucky :-)

Hi,

I might be misunderstanding your question. Specifically, what dictionary are you referring to? Are you referring to a feature within Google Docs?

Hi,

I haven't heard anything back from the team yet. Often these matters can take a while -- it's always longer than we would like. I'll check in with them to see what's happening with this. I'll let you know as soon as I have any updates to share.

I have the same problem! When I write a word, it only comes out in English. I wish that it comes in different languages, too. But, you can make your Google Translate set on different languages, which can be set in multiple languages at a time.
