I can't turn off suggestion mode in Google docs and it's annoying

To get out of suggestion mode, underneath the Share button, change Suggesting to Editing.
Please note that this may not be possible unless you are the owner of the file or an editor. If this is a file that was shared with you and you were given Comment access, you will not be able to change to Editing mode. Reach out to the file owner to request that your permissions be updated.
