Can I use Google Forms to schedule a limited number of guests per time slot per day?
Here's what I'm looking to create: A sign up opportunity where no more than 4 people can sign up per category per date. Once 4 spots are filled per category for a particular date, no other folks can sign up for that category for that date. They may select a different date with opportunities still available.
For example, 4 Kindergarten parents sign up to eat lunch with their kids on 11/03/22, so that date should no longer be open to further sign ups. A 1st grade parent/guardian could sign up or a Kindergarten parent/guardian could sign up for a different day but no more K parents on 11/03/22.
So I'd need the form to always be available (open to responses) but I'd need categories to close when filled. Is that even possible?
If there is an easier or better platform besides Google Forms for this, I'm happy to try that as well!

There is not a reliable way of doing this with Forms. Instead, I would use the Appointment Slots feature found in Calendar. This allows you set-up how many slots you want available for each lunch period and when a slot is filled, it is not available to others. Also, if someone decides to cancel their reservation, then the slot becomes available again for others. You can see more information about this feature here.

There is not a reliable way of doing this with Forms. Instead, I would use the Appointment Slots feature found in Calendar. Thank you so much for your help! That was such an easy fix to my problem!
You should be able to create a calendar that has the appointment slots and then share that calendar with the secretaries.
