Hi there,
Welcome to the Google Docs help community. It appears that Comic Sans is no longer listed as font for Docs. As the help forums are manager by volunteer product users (even the product experts are volunteers), not Google employees, we don't know why it was discontinued.
If you have an older document that used Comic Sans, you might still be able to get it if you open that document and make Comic Sans your default Normal font. Here's how:
How to Adjust Default Font or Line Spacing in Google Docs
1. Drag your cursor through a couple of sentences that are set up the way you want them, with the font and line spacing you prefer.
2. Go to Format > Paragraph styles > Normal text.
3. Select "Update 'Normal text' to match."
4. Next, go to Format > Paragraph styles > Options.
5. Select "Save as my default styles."

2. Go to Format > Paragraph styles > Normal text.
3. Select "Update 'Normal text' to match."
4. Next, go to Format > Paragraph styles > Options.
5. Select "Save as my default styles."
Newly created documents should (hopefully) have this as the default now, but be aware that changed defaults aren't retroactive for older documents (they will only work on new ones).
If you aren't able to locate a document with Comic Sans that works, you might be out of luck. To help influence future font additions in Docs, I encourage you to provide feedback about this directly to the Docs team by following these steps:
- Open a document.
- Click Help > Report a problem.
- Enter your feedback.
Although the product team is unable to respond to individual users directly, they review this feedback regularly and use it to help improve the product over time. Google doesn't check the help forums for user feedback, so it's important that you use the in-product tool. The more users who request this font via in-product feedback, the greater the chances are of the team considering it.

Hi
I have moved your question to the Google Docs Editors community, as that is where you'll find the appropriate experts for your question.
For the record, I see Comic Sans in my list of fonts, and automatic spell checking with the appropriate settings enabled. Is it possible that you have installed an add-on or extension that is affecting this for you?
Have you tried it with a different browser, or an incognito window?

What is funny is one one of my computers that I rarely use, comic sans works, but on my chromebook, which I use most, it is not there. Do you know why that is?

I'd guess that's happening because Comic Sans is loaded somewhere on your old computer. If you have it there, try creating a document on that computer and make Comic Sans the default font (per my instructions earlier in this thread). Then open that document on your Chromebook. Does Comic Sans show up now on it?

I used google docs on both the IOS app, and on safari. What I have found is that you can find comic sans on the IOS app, but for whatever reason you cannot find it on the safari version. Why is that?

I don't have an answer about that, Jonah, but I'd guess that this is because that font is installed somewhere on your mobile device. Please see my instructions earlier in this thread to make Comic Sans your default font and then see if it shows up for you when you open a document in Safari that uses Comic Sans.

Thank you for responding back to me. I wanted to let you know that I was on Firefox today using docs, and it was there. But when I use Safari, it isn’t there. Thank you for the support, and I will try your tip too.

Is comic sans ever going to come back on my chromebook?

Hi, Faith,
I don't know, but I kind of doubt that it will in the near future. The help communities are managed by volunteer product users, not Google employees. We don't know what Google may or may not do down the road, but the return of this font (and a few others) doesn't seem likely anytime soon.
You can submit a request for Comic Sans by opening a Docs document and going to Help > Report a problem. The team reviews all feedback sent to them but is unable to respond to individual users. Google doesn't check the help forums for user feedback, so it's important that you use the in-product tool. The more users who request this font via in-product feedback, the greater the chances are of the team considering it.
