Google Sheets: "Set Custom Page Break" not working properly

As of yesterday, while trying to set custom page breaks, the breaks won't snap to where I want them to. They jump all over the place, acting all buggy and adding breaks where I don't want them to. This is rendering printing useless... Is anyone experiencing the same? Has anyone found a workaround? Thanks!

Hi Diana Freire,

Have you try to access using Incognito mode? You may want to try first whether you're facing the same issues using incognito mode or not. If not, you may want to clear cache and cookies to fix certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites. For that, you may refer to the documentation by Google : https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050

Once you did it, you may want to try to break a page by using ctrl + enter key.

I hope it helps and have a good day ahead.

I am also having trouble with page breaks. I can't put them where I want them and if I move one it adds breaks that I don't want and can't delete.

I am also having the same problem when I have hidden rows. When I make those visible, the problem goes away.

But I still need to print out my sheet with those rows hidden. So it looks like a bug.

Same problem here with filtered rows. Really annoying, please fix.

Interesting: when setting page breaks with all rows visible it works just fine, if you switch the filter back on after setting page breaks it seems to remember them correctly and prints to PDF just fine.

I am having trouble also.  I cannot print my sheets without being able to set the page breaks. I need to know when this is fixed or I will have to reinvent the wheel using Excel sheets.  I'm really unhappy about that. This was working great until someone broke it.  Ugh!

Setting custom page breaks for saving as PDF and printing is such a pain in the but on Google Sheets. It's so easy in Excel, but the snap lines are frustrating for Google. I really hope the development team fixes or improves this. Every time I try to move the lines for print area they just jump where they want, or don't move at all. I wish I could just highlight the area I want to set in a print area and be done with it.

It's now April 21st and this issue still hasn't been resolved.

ETA?

As the original poster said, without this function printing out Google Sheets is impossible.

Still no feedback and still not fixed, this is making printing a document nearly impossible

I am experiencing this issue as well and am unable to print my documents because of it. I have tried incognito mode and clearing cookies and cache, that is not a fix.

If you're using lots of hidden cells on your sheet, there is a workaround whereby if you can move all of these to the bottom of your sheet and then hide them, your page breaks should work again for the rest of your sheet.  Found this solution here.

Tried it myself and all of my formulas still worked as intended, you might just need to add some labels or comments to identify what these hidden cells are there for.
