Google Docs New Feature: Map Chips

Hi everyone,

We're excited to announce a new feature on Google Docs: Map chips!

You can now create map chips in your document by pasting a Google Maps link. You can use the map chip to quickly open the location in Google Maps,
view it in the Google Maps side panel, and find directions to the location.

After opening a Google Doc, pasting a Google Maps link and pressing Tab creates the map chip.

You can find out more on the Help Center article.

Let us know if you have any comments or questions.

Cheers,
