Why won't my embedded fonts show up when I upload a PPT from my computer to my Google Drive?

I have created several PPTs for work using fonts I have downloaded on my personal computer. When I upload the PPTs to my work Google Drive account & share with my co-workers, the fonts are replaced by generic ones. I have gone back in and made sure the fonts are embedded in the original PPT and re-uploaded, but nothing seems to work.

Saving the PPTs as a PDF file to preserve the fonts defeats the purpose of making PPTs.

Hi, Shelby,

I'm guessing that's because, as you noted, the fonts are stored locally your computer. When you move a document  or presentation to the cloud, web-based fonts will replace your locally stored fonts. I don't believe there's any way around that.

That makes sense, thank you!

Follow-up question, if someone downloads the PPT from Google Drive, would the fonts show up then since they are embedded within the PPT file?
Hi, Shelby,

I would think so ... as long as the presentation is opened in actual PPT software.
