I keep trying to edit my own files and I keep getting a message saying my access to the doc has expired even though it's my own doc. I have friends who are also going through the same thing, is Google still down?

Every time I load a document through Sheets or Docs, I am receiving the message "Your access has expired. Reload this document to gain access. If you still don't have access, contact the document owner."

I am the original owner of the document, it still shows as such. I have shared this document with two others, both parties experience the same issue. I have cleared cache and cookies, turned off my computer, back on, signed out of all devices and accounts, recreated the documents, and the issue still persists.

Google Chrome or Firefox
Windows 10

Multiple people have started a thread with this issue and from what I have gathered, the issue had come down to ownership access being transferred. I have confirmed this is not the case.

I am posting this information here as someone marked my personal thread as a duplicate.

I am sadly also having the same issue as well even though I am the owner of the document.

Exact same issue here. It started yesterday evening.  I presume it's a glitch related to google docs being down on Monday but no info anywhere on it and no fix. I guess it's back to Word...

While for you to contact google support you need to pay them... To fix their own fault? We aren't testers, you know, Google team.

Hi all,

I have escalated this issue to the Docs team, and the engineers are currently investigating it. Hang in there as best you can. I'll let you know as soon as I receive any further updates.

A similar issue started for me today, on a file that I was literally working on an hour ago. I own the file. I also tried everything that has been advised from online forums - clearing my cookies/cache, updating my browser, having a friend try it, etc.
