What happened to Google Finance function?

What has just happened to google finance ? All stocks are returning error, even those in this page: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3093281?hl=en

Update: (Friday 12 noon EST) The GOOGLEFINANCE function appears to be working intermittently for many people now. If you are still experiencing issues please continue to send feedback through the Help menu > Help Sheets Improve option.

It's not just you, there are a bunch of people apparently having this issue including me.  
 
We'll let you know if we hear any updates but, for now, I would expect this to continue throughout the evening. Hopefully it will clear up by tomorrow.
 
Please feel free to upvote this thread (or post here if you want, especially if you have something new) and you can always send feedback to the developers using the Help menu > Help Sheets Improve option. That's the best way to give them feedback when something's broken.

Our engineers are aware of this issue and working to resolve it.
 
For the US, a fix should be in place, we are now working on improving the function globally, which should be back online in the next 3-5 hours. I will keep you posted once we have official confirmation of a fix.
