Copy-Paste Does Not Work

My problem is this: When I attempt to copy and paste text from a source outside of the browser, I can't paste it back into a google document. I have tried using Ctrl-C/V, right click-paste, edit - paste, etc. All have not worked.

My browser is Chrome 3.0.195.38, and I am on W7.

The text that I am copying pastes fine into notepad. I have tried clearing the cache/cookies, to no avail. I'm nearly at my wits end, so any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for reading/answering/hopefully-solving-my-problem!

Can you please try an experiment with a very simple, new, empty doc. Try using Chrome and another browser (IE?) and paste in a paragraph of text from 'outside'.

This works for me using the same version of Chrome, so I am wondering if it might be a W7 issue. Anyone else out there with W7 can try please?

The pasting works in IE, continues to not work in chrome. Running 64-bit windows 7 Ultimate, for the record.

Thanks for the updates. Is there someone out there with Win7 and Firefox? Does it work for you?
