Delete multiple files - many

Browser & Operating System (e.g. Firefox/Mac OSX):Chrome - Windows 7(64bit)
Describe the steps you took that produced this error: Tried to delete several hundreds of files
Copy and paste any error messages: The server encountered an error. Please try again later.

About half a year ago i backed up all of my phones messages to mygoogle docs account by accident. Beeing several hundred files i didn't bother to delete them all and forgot about them. Now i want them all removed/deleted, but deleting some at a time takes for ever, and if i select too many files the server encounters an error. Is there som sort of software or an other way to delete these files? I'm trying to syncronise my docs account to my evernote account and these hundreds of files slows down the prosess....

You have to do it through Google Docs...  so, I'm not sure...

That's unusual...  there was a lot of traffic today, so I'd try again in an off period and see if it works then!

Have a great night!

All the best in the new year,

I don't think that the type of traffic has anything to do with it.  Unfortunately, I think the way you are doing it is the only way. It will just take some time.

I just couldn't get on the forums today...  I had a lot of trouble...  I can never tell if the two are connected!

I was afraid that was the answer... Thanks Ted!

My experience is that file operations often fail when applied to more than about 300 files at a time. If OP has the same limit then deleting 2000-4000 files isn't such a big deal. If the limit is much lower (i.e., server errors occur when one tries to apply an operation to fewer than about 300 files at once) then it will be useful to report that; it is not the normal situation.
