Introducing Slides Q&A

Google Slides is launching a new feature: the ability to ask questions direction from a presentation. This new feature is rolling out globally on Android, iOS, and the web.

To learn more, please see our blog post. You can also check out our help center article "Accept and present audience questions" to learn how it works.

Love the new Q&A feature!

Unfortunately, on custom-size vertical slides (1080x1920) I use sometimes, only the "Ask a question at goo.gl" displays. The remaining portion of the URL isn't visible.

Hello,

Very excited about this new feature! Unfortunately, I am unable to access the "Presenter View" and "Audience Tools" described in the help center article. Is there something that needs to be done to enable these items? Below is what I see when I click the down arrow next to "Present." Thanks for any help you can provide!

Do you use Google Apps?  If so it may not have been pushed to your Google Apps domain yet.

We've made a little demo of how to ask audience questions (and the laser pointer!) - see Google Slides - Audience Q&A - Laser Pointer!

After initial use we have a question: where are the audience questions saved so we can look back on them after the presentation?

When I click the down arrow next to "Present" it only shows two options: "Present from beginning" and "Present with Speaker Notes"

Do I need to download an extension or something?

Will it automatically be pushed to our Google App domain or do we need to do something on our end?

In the context of using in the classroom, is there any way for a presenter (teacher) to DISABLE the "ask anonymously" feature? Would be better to have student names show up considering anonymity could lead to inappropriate comments/questions being asked? Just a thought. Maybe I'll submit in "help" as well!

Hi,

Great new feature -- What is the timeout delay on closing a slideshow URL -- on my test, seems to be about 5 minutes..
And what is timeout delay for Continuing a Session (with saved questions)? .... Of course I do see Tools > Q&A History -- but believe that does not allow a question set to be 'started again'' ... ?

Many thanks -- I am thinking of pre-loading my own questions in the style of a quick multi choice poll ... for example, i present to class on three topics and preload Qs in style of Which part of my talk on countries did you like most? A, Denmark B, Norway C, Sweden etc......

to clarify -- i have made a video .. How to use Google Slides Audience Qs as a Poll .. https://youtu.be/_w_QrssGGEk .. hence the need for my preloaded Qs to be accessed maybe the day after I post them etc.... thanks

Fabulous - thank you so much for sharing this solution in regards to present in new window - works perfectly and then I just shortened the url with the chrome url shortner - looks far more professional.
