How do I stop unwanted documents being shared with me by third parties?

How do I stop unwanted documents being shared with me by third parties?  I'm getting random spam-like documents being shared with me.  I can delete them but they just come back without my permission.

Browser & Operating System (ex. Firefox/Mac OSX):  Win7 / Chrome
Enterprise Apps or free version of Google Docs: Free Version

This is a frequent complaint (see for example the "related discussions" listed at right) and if people know your google account name then you cannot stop it; not by technical means anyway. The docs list is like an unfiltered email inbox in that regard.

Google needs to add an option to block from certain people and / or to not allow documents to be shared from people you don't have in your address box and / or require approval (Via email) before allowing to be shared with you.

This doesn't make sense why they wouldn't have that.

Levels

Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:

  • Post an answer.
  • Having your answer selected as the best answer.
  • Having your post rated as helpful.
  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
