Format numbers in a spreadsheet

You can format your data in several different ways in Google Sheets so that your spreadsheet and its contents are displayed how you want them.

Format numbers, dates and currencies

To format numbers, dates or currencies in a spreadsheet, follow these steps:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app.
  2. Tap a cell or range of cells.
  3. Tap Format Format.
  4. Tap an option from the list. The format will be applied to your selected cells.

The date, time and currency options are based on the spreadsheet's locale. To see more options, tap More date/time or More currencies.

  2. Tap on a cell or range of cells.
  3. Tap Format Format.
