You can crop, mask and add borders to images you have added to Google Docs and Slides.
To adjust colours in Google Docs or Slides, go to docs.google.com or slides.google.com on a computer.
You can trim the edges of an image or remove an unwanted section.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Slides app.
- Open a presentation.
- Tap the image you want to crop.
- At the bottom, tap Crop .
- Touch and drag the border.
- When you’ve finished, tap anywhere else in your slide.
To crop an image in Google Docs, go to docs.google.com on a computer.
To fit an image into a shape in Google Slides, mask the image.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Slides app.
- Open a presentation.
- Tap the image you want to mask.
- At the bottom, tap Crop .
- At the bottom, tap Mask .
- Tap the shape you want.
- The shape will mask your image. To adjust your shape, touch and drag the border.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Slides app.
- Open a presentation.
- Tap the image that you want to adjust.
- At the top, tap format .
- Tap Recolour to choose a filter.
- Tap Adjustments to adjust transparency, brightness and contrast.
- When you've finished, tap anywhere else in the slide to close.
To add and change the colour of the drop shadow:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Slides app.
- Open a presentation.
- Tap the image that you want to adjust.
- At the top, click Format .
- At the bottom, tap Drop shadow.
- Turn Apply drop shadow on.
- Choose a colour for your drop shadow.
- When you've finished, tap anywhere else in the slide to close.
Note: To remove the drop shadow, turn Apply drop shadow off.
Google Docs
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs app.
- Open a document.
- Tap the image that you want to add a border to.
- At the top right, tap Format .
- Choose a line colour, weight and dash.
Google Slides
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Slides app.
- Open a presentation.
- Tap the image that you want to add a border to.
- At the top, tap Format .
- Choose a border colour, weight and dash.
- When you've finished, tap anywhere else in the slide to close.
If you want to undo the changes you made to your image:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs app.
- Open a document.
- Tap the image that you want to reset.
- In the top right, tap Format .
- Tap Reset image.
To reset images in Google Slides, go to slides.google.com on a computer.
Google Docs
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs app.
- Open a document.
- At the top right, tap More.
- Turn on 'Print Layout' .
- Tap the image that you want to adjust.
- You can adjust the size of an image or rotate it:
- Resize: Touch and drag the squares along the edges.
- Rotate: Touch and drag the circle attached to the image.
Google Slides
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Slides app.
- Open a presentation.
- Tap the image that you want to adjust.
