You can insert, update, or delete links in the Google Docs or Slides app.
Note: Insert and remove links is not available on the Google Sheets app for iPhone or iPad.
Add a link
- Open a file in the Google Docs or Slides app.
- Docs: Tap Edit

- Highlight text or tap the area in the file where you want the link to appear.
- In the top right, tap Insert

- Tap Link.
- In the "Text" field, type the text you want to be linked.
- In the "Link" field, enter a URL or email address, or search for a website.
- To save, tap Done

Change or remove a link
- Open a file in the Google Docs or Slides app.
- Docs: Tap Edit

- Tap the text, cell, or shape with the link you want to remove.
- To remove the link, in portrait view, tap Right arrow
Remove link. To change the link, tap Right arrow
Edit link.
Add a bookmark
- Open a file in the Google Docs app.
- Tap Edit
.
- Tap where you want the bookmark.
- In the top right, tap Insert
Bookmark.
To copy or remove a bookmark, tap the bookmark, then tap Copy link or Remove.
