Install, use & uninstall add-ons

You can use add-ons to do more tasks with Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. You can turn add-ons on and off or delete them at any time.

Note: Add-ons are only available in English.

Find and install add-ons

Visit the Docs, Sheets, and Forms add-on stores to see what is available.

Install add-ons
  1. Open a document, spreadsheet, or form.
  2. Click Add-ons > Get add-ons.
  3. Hover over an add-on to see what it is. To see a full description, click the add-on.
  4. To install the add-on, click Free.
  5. For most add-ons, a message will appear requesting access to specific data that the add-on needs to work. Read the message, then click Allow.

Manage add-ons

You can turn add-ons on or off for specific files.

Turn add-ons on and off
  1. Open a document, spreadsheet, or form.
  2. Click Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  3. From the list of add-ons, select the one you want to use.
  4. Click MANAGE > Use in this document. A checkmark will show next to this option when the add-on has been turned on. To turn off the add-on for that file, click the option again.

  2. Click Add-ons.
  3. From the list of add-ons installed, click the one you want to use.
  4. Choose an option from the list.
Uninstall an add-on

To uninstall an add-on from all of your files:

  1. Open a document, spreadsheet, or form.
  2. Click Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  3. From the list of add-ons, select the one you want to uninstall.
  4. Click MANAGE > Remove.

To report a problem with an add-on, click Report an issue.
