You can select a preferred unit of measurement when you edit objects or slides in your presentation. This includes inches, centimetres and pixel measurements.
- On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides.
- Click File
Page setup.
- To pick a size, click the down arrow

- Standard (4:3)
- Widescreen (16:9)
- Widescreen (16:10)
- Custom: Below 'Custom', enter a size and pick a unit of measurement (inches, centimetres, points or pixels).
- Click OK.
Change the unit of measurement
You can now choose your preferred unit of measurement for rulers and all objects in Google Slides.- To change the unit of measurement:
- At the top, click Tools
Preferences.
- Tick the box next to 'Use measurement unit preferences'.
- Select your preferred unit of measurement:
- Inches
- Centimetres
- Pixels
- At the top, click Tools
- To change the ruler's unit of measurement:
- At the top, click the ruler.
- Hover over 'Change units'.
- Select your preferred unit of measurement.
- To reset the unit of measurement to default based on your presentation's locale, select Reset to presentation default.
