Switch between multiple Google accounts

You can add and switch between multiple Google accounts on Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. To switch accounts on Google Drive, disconnect and reinstall Drive with your other account.

On a browser, like Chrome

Choose what kind of accounts you're switching between:

Your accounts have the same ending (like @gmail.com)

You can’t switch between accounts that end in @gmail.com in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

To use two accounts with the same ending:

To sign in to only one account, sign out of all your accounts. Then sign in to the account you want to use.

Your accounts have different endings (like @gmail.com & @example.com)
  1. On your computer, sign in to Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
  2. In the top right, click your profile photo or email address.
  3. Click the account you want to use.
  4. A new window will open for this account.

On Google Drive on your computer

If you installed Backup and Sync on your computer, sign out of one account and sign in with a different account.
