You can create, insert and edit drawings with Google Drawings.

This feature is currently available for Android devices.

Add a markup

To enter markups mode:

  1. On handhelds, tap Insert Insert and then Add markups .
  2. On large screens, in the top toolbar, tap the Markups toggle .

To add a markup:

  1. Tap the Pen or Highlighter Highlight text from the markups toolbar.
  2. Draw on the document to add a markup.
    • When you add a markup to the document, it links to the nearby content and highlights it briefly.
    • When you edit the linked content, the markup will stretch or shrink.

After you've added a markup, you can exit markups mode. On the markups toolbar, tap Close Close.

  • On handhelds, in the top toolbar, tap the Tick Checkmark.
  • On large screens, in the top toolbar, tap the Markups toggle .

Change the pen or highlighter size and colour

In the markups toolbar, to adjust size and colour, tap the Pen or Highlighter Highlight text.

  • To change the markups toolbar position, you can touch and hold, then drag anywhere.

Hide and show markups

To hide and show all markups, select an option:

  1. While in markups mode, in the markups toolbar, tap the Eye .
  2. At the top right, tap More More.
  3. Turn Show markups on or off.

Delete a markup

To delete a markup, select an option:

  • Tap Undo Undo.
  • Tap the Eraser and then Delete.
Tip: While in markups mode, you can tap a markup and then Delete.
