Present slides

You can present Google Slides so they show on a full screen.

Full-screen presentations work from a computer, mobile device, or TV with Chromecast or AirPlay. You can even accept audience questions while you present.

View a presentation

To present a full-screen presentation in Google Slides:

  1. On your Android device, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
  2. In the top right, tap Present .
  3. Tap Present on this device.

To exit a full-screen presentation:

  1. Tap the top of the screen.
  2. In the top left, tap Back .

To exit a PowerPoint presentation, tap the "back" button on your device.

Present using Chromecast or Hangouts

You can present slides on your television with Google Chromecast. You can also present in a video call with Google Hangouts.

Chromecast

  1. On your device, connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
  2. In the Slides app, open a presentation. Note: Chromecast devices won't work in guest mode.
  3. Tap Cast .
  4. Control your presentation and view notes from your phone or tablet:
    • To change slides, swipe left or right.
    • To increase or decrease volume, use your device's volume buttons.
    • To show or hide your speaker notes, tap Speaker notes .
  5. To stop casting, in the top left, tap Close Close.

Google Hangouts

  1. On your Android device, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
  2. Tap Present .
    • To start a new video call, tap Present to a new meeting.
    • To present in a meeting on your calendar, tap its title in the menu.
  3. To start presenting, tap Present. To invite others to the video call, tap Send invite.
  4. To stop presenting, in the top left, tap Close Close.

To mute and unmute the microphone during the presentation, tap Speak Speak.

Android Wear

To control presentations from your Android Wear device, it must be connected to the phone or tablet you are presenting from.

  1. On your phone or tablet, open and start the presentation in Google Slides. You’ll get a notification on your Android Wear device.
  2. Tap the notification to open the Google Slides app.
  3. To go forward one slide, tap the slide preview on the Android Wear screen or swipe left.
  4. To go back one slide, swipe right.

To end your presentation, tap the checkmark at the end of the presentation.
