Get started with the Drive app for Android
With the Google Drive app for Android, you can view, share, and organize your files, as well as make them available to view offline. You can also upload and store new files directly from your phone or tablet.
All of the files available on the app are also available on the web so that you can easily access your files from anywhere.
Download the Google Drive app
- Touch the Google Play icon on your phone or tablet.
- Find and install the application called Google Drive.
- On your phone or tablet home screen, click the Drive app icon.
Open and manage files
You can open and manage all of your files in the Drive app, and can even manage multiple files at once by selecting the files and then taking action on them.
- Open the Drive app.
- Touch the name of a file to open it. To open a menu of options instead, touch and hold the file name (or multiple file names) and, in the box that appears, mark the file as important , make it available offline , or choose from the following options by touching the menu icon :
Send Send the file to someone Move to... Move the file to a new or existing folder Keep on device Make the file available offline on your device Open with Open the file with a different Google or third-party app Send link Send a link of the file to a different Google or third-party app Download a copy Download a copy of the file to your device Rename Rename the file Print the file using Google Cloud Print Remove Remove the file from your device
