Use integrations with Gemini in Workspace

With Gemini in Google Workspace, you can connect to and retrieve information from third-party services like Asana and Mailchimp. These are known as integrations.

You can use an integration with Gemini in:

  • Chat
  • Docs
  • Drive
  • Gmail
  • Sheets
  • Slides

Important: For specific steps on connecting integrations in Sheets or Chat:

For all other Workspace apps, learn how to use an integration.

What you need

  • A supported personal, work, or school account:
    • For personal accounts, you need:
      • Google AI Pro
      • Google AI Ultra
    • For work or school accounts, you need:
      • Business Standard
      • Business Plus
      • Enterprise Standard
      • Enterprise Plus
      • Enterprise Essentials
      • Enterprise Essential Plus
      • Google AI Pro for Education
  • A required third-party subscription: In addition to any required Google AI plans or Google Workspace editions, some integrations require a subscription to use with Gemini in Workspace. Check the page for the integration when you install it for details.
  • Administrator permission for work or school accounts: Your account's Google Workspace administrator enables the ability to connect integrations to Gemini in Workspace. If you can't use an integration, ask your administrator to allow it or connect it for you.

Connect an integration

  1. On your computer, go to the Google Workspace Marketplace integrations page.
    • This page provides a pre-filtered view of integrations that work with Gemini in Workspace.
  2. Select the integration you want to connect to Gemini in Workspace.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. To grant the integration access to your Google Account data and complete the connection, follow the on-screen instructions.
    • A third-party helper app might be required. To check if a helper app is needed, review the app's details page in the Workspace Marketplace. Any requirements are listed in the “Overview” section.

Explore available integrations

Important: Integrations currently only support read actions, such as searching for or finding information. You can’t use an integration to make changes to third-party apps.

Asana

Find specific projects, tasks, or subtasks within your workspace. You can also check the current status of assigned work.
Atlassian-Rovo (Jira, Confluence) Track down specific Jira issues and project details. Locate relevant documentation across your Confluence pages.
HubSpot Access your CRM data to find specific contacts or companies. View the details of active deals directly in your prompt.

Mailchimp

Retrieve details about your email campaigns and audience lists. Pull up recent subscriber reports to review performance.
Monday.com Query your boards for updates on ongoing projects. Quickly locate individual tasks and their details.
QuickBooks Retrieve financial records like customer invoices and logged expenses. Look up specific billing details directly from Workspace.

Salesforce

Look up customer contacts and associated companies. Review active leads and pipeline opportunities.

Use an integration

  1. On your computer, open a supported Gemini in Workspace app.
  2. In your Workspace app, find and open Ask Gemini .
  3. In the text box at the bottom, enter @.

  4. Select the integration you want to use.
  5. Enter your prompt with instructions or questions for Gemini.
  6. Press Enter.

Examples:

  • “What @Asana issues assigned to me are due today?”
  • “What’s the current pipeline looking like for my open opportunities in @Salesforce right now?”

Delete a connection to an integration

Through your Google Account security settings, you can review and delete connections to third-party integration. When you delete a connection, data sharing between Gemini in Workspace and that integration stops.

To delete an integration:

  1. On your computer, open a browser.
  2. In your browser, go to Google Account security settings.
  3. Find the “Your connections to third-party app & services” card.
  4. Click See all connections.
  5. Select the app name you want to disconnect.
  6. Click Delete all connections you have with [name of app].
  7. In the pop-up window, click Confirm.
