Get started with Gemini in Slides
- On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides.
- At the top right, click Ask Gemini
.
- In the side panel, select a suggested prompt or write your own prompt. Select a suggestion

- Tip: To get more options, select More suggestions.
- At the bottom, in the prompt box, replace the example text with the information that you want.
- Press Enter.

Things to do with Gemini in Slides
Generate images based on slide content with Gemini- On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides.
- At the top right, click Ask Gemini
.
- On the side panel, you can:
- Generate an image based on a selected slide: Enter “Generate an image" or "Suggest images for this slide.”
- Select a suggested prompt: The Gemini in Slides side panel might suggest images based on the content on your slides.
- Create your own prompt: For example, you can ask, “Generate an image of a dog with glasses.”
- Press Enter.
- To insert a specific image, hover over the image and click Insert
.
- Optional: To send feedback about the image, click Good suggestion
or Bad suggestion

You can create a new slide from scratch or reuse the visual style of an existing presentation with Gemini in Google Slides.

Use skills with Ask Gemini
Important: Before you can use a skill, you must create the skill and turn it on in Workspace Studio.
You can use skills in your conversation in Google Docs, or Google Slides.
- On your computer, Google Docs, or Google Slides.
- At the top right, click Ask Gemini

- In the message field, type @ followed by the skill name in your prompt. For example: “@Project Summary.”
- Enter your prompt.
- Click Submit
