Save, print, or import your chart

You can download and save charts to your computer. Once you’ve downloaded charts, you can print them or import them into other documents.

Save a chart as an image

You can download charts as PNG images. There isn't an option to save an image or download a PDF with an annotated timeline or motion chart.

  1. Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
  2. Click your chart.
  3. In the top right click the Down arrow Down Arrow and then Save image.
  4. Your chart will be saved to your computer.

Print a chart

After you save a chart or download it as a PDF, you can print your chart using Ctrl + p on a PC or ⌘ + p on a Mac.

Publish a chart

To put a chart into a website or blog:

  1. Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
  2. Click your chart.
  3. In the top right of the chart, click the Down arrow Down Arrow and then Move to own sheet.
  4. In the top right of your chart, click Publish chart.
  5. Select only the sheet with the chart and click Publish.
  6. Copy the HTML code displayed.
  7. Paste the HTML into your website or blog.

Import a chart

To import a chart into a document or presentation:

  1. Open a document in Google Docs or presentation in Google Slides.
  2. Scroll to a page or slide and place your cursor where you'd like the chart to appear.
  3. In the toolbar, click Insert and then Chart and then From Sheets.
  4. In the "Insert chart" window, select a chart.
  5. Click Select and then Import.
