Change page settings on Google Docs

You can update your page size and page orientation, and preview how your Google Doc will look when printed.

Important: These features aren't available in documents that are in pageless format. To use these features, make sure that your document is in pages format. 

Change page setup of a Google Doc

To change how a page is set up, download the Google Docs app for Android.

Change page size, colour or orientation

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs app.
2. Open a document.
3. In the bottom right, tap Edit .
4. At the top right, tap More .
5. Tap Page setup.
6. Select the setting that you want to change:
   • Orientation
   • Paper size
   • Page colour
7. Make your changes.

See and change how your document looks when printed

You can edit your file while in print layout mode to see how it will look when it’s printed.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs app.
2. Open a document.
3. At the top right, tap More .
4. Turn Print layout on.
5. Tap Edit .
