Save and share data-driven creative previews

Preview sheets (sometimes called tearsheets) are filtered collections of creative previews that you can share with others for review. When you have a large number of creative variants, add your data-driven creative to a preview sheet. You can then filter the preview sheet to show only a specific group of variants and share it. The person you shared it with will only be able to see the filtered previews.

You can only add data-driven creatives to preview sheets. Other creative types are not supported.

Add a creative to a preview sheet

You can only add creatives to a preview sheet, not individual variants or creative versions. If you want to share a preview sheet with only certain variants, add filters.

  1. Open a data-driven creative.
  2. Click Add to preview sheet , then click New preview sheet or select the name of the existing preview sheet you want to add the creative to. Every variant of the creative is added to the preview sheet. (It doesn't matter which variants are currently selected.)

Note: Removing creatives from preview sheets isn't supported yet. Instead, filter the preview sheet to hide the creative or make a new preview sheet.

Open a preview sheet

  1. Open an advertiser.
  2. Click Creative > Preview Sheets.
  3. Click the name of the preview sheet to open it.

Alternatively, you can open preview sheets from a creative's details page:

  1. Open a data-driven creative.
  2. Click Creative details.
  3. Open the "Preview sheets" section. You'll see a list of preview sheets this creative has been added to.
  4. To open a preview sheet, click its name.

Filter a preview sheet

When you’re signed in to Display & Video 360, anyone with access will see the filters you add to a preview sheet. The filters you apply will also be applied to the shared version of the preview sheet. If you’re not signed in, any filters you add will not be seen by anyone else.

Tip: When you're signed in, you'll see an ID after the preview sheet name and a share button Share. The URL in your browser's address bar will also end with ?edit=1.
  1. Open a preview sheet.
  2. Click Add filter, then select one or more filters to apply. (For example, to show only the draft versions of all previews, click Creative version, then select Draft.)
  3. To save your changes, click Apply. The preview sheet will update. Signed-in users only: If you've shared the preview sheet, the filters in the shared version will be updated. If someone has the shared version open, they won’t see any of your changes until they refresh their browser window.

Share a preview sheet

You can share preview sheets with others for review. Anyone who has the link can open a preview sheet. No sign-in is required.

  1. Open a preview sheet.
  2. Check which filters you've applied to the preview sheet. The people you share with will see the filtered view only. When you change the filters, your changes are applied to the shared version of the preview sheet. If you want everyone you share with to be able to see every creative variant and version, remove all of the filters before you share.

For example, if the preview sheet includes several creative sizes, but is filtered to show only the 300 x 250 size, the people you share with will only be able to see the 300 x 250 size.

3. Click Share Share. A window opens with the sharing options.
    • Click Copy link to copy the link and paste it into a message or chat window.
    • To share the link via email, enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the preview sheet with. You can also enter an optional message to include. When you're done, click Send. An email with the link will be sent from studio-noreply@google.com.

Change the name of a preview sheet

  1. Open an advertiser.
  2. Click Creative > Preview Sheets.
  3. Find the preview sheet you want to rename. Next to the name, click Edit .
  4. Edit the name, then press Enter to save your changes.

Archive and delete preview sheets

If you want to hide preview sheets you’re not using anymore, change their status to “Archived”. By default, the preview sheet list is filtered to show only active preview sheets. Archived preview sheets are hidden.

Deleting a preview sheet is permanent. To avoid accidentally deleting a preview sheet, you have to archive it before you can delete it.

Archive a preview sheet

  1. Open an advertiser.
  2. Click Creative > Preview Sheets.
  3. Find the preview sheet you want to archive. In the “Status” column, select “Archived”. By default, the “Status = Active” filter is applied, so the preview sheet will be hidden from the list.

Delete an archived preview sheet

  1. To see all preview sheets, remove the “Status = Active” filter.
  2. Find the preview sheet you want to delete. Next to the name, click Delete Delete.
