Creative approval process by exchange

The process for approving your creatives varies slightly for each exchange. However, in general, to get a creative audited and approved on the following exchanges, make sure the creative is:

  1. Active
  2. Assigned to a Display & Video 360 line item that is active and targeting inventory from the following exchanges

Once both of these conditions are satisfied, Display & Video 360 will synchronize the creative to the following exchange's systems to be audited.

AppNexus

A creative must be manually reviewed before it can serve on AppNexus. The AppNexus creative auditing team also audits creatives against AppNexus' Policy for Buying (external site, requires login).

AppNexus' audit team works 8 AM to 5 PM ET Monday—Friday, and promises a 24-hour turnaround time for creative audits. Please note this turnaround time can be slightly longer at the beginning of a quarter.

Google Ad Manager

A creative must meet Google Ad Manager's advertising policies prior to being able to bid on Ad Manager inventory. In addition to Ad Manager's initial review, creatives may be manually reviewed at any time by Ad Manager while they're serving.

BrightRoll Exchange for Display from Yahoo!

A creative must have a Display & Video 360 status of "Pending, Servable" to begin serving on BrightRoll. BrightRoll will then review the creative against Oath Ad Specs. Unlike other exchanges, creatives can bid on BrightRoll Exchange inventory while they're still waiting to be reviewed by BrightRoll's creative auditing team.
